My Book Review of 'The Big Empty'

Hi. Today I am reviewing The Big Empty by Robert Crais. I really enjoyed this book, but then I am a huge Robert Crais fan. I love his style. I love the way he writes in short sentences. Sometimes one word. I love that about him, and you can kind of tell this guy used to write screenplays by that kind of writing, because I've seen my own writing just get shorter and shorter as time goes by, as I write screenplays.

Anyway, the plot moves along at a nice clip. It's full of twists and turns and people who are lying to Elvis, and I had my own suspicions about certain people that I won't go into. Nonetheless, it was a very good read. It's an excellent book. I enjoyed it. Robert Crais is still one of my heroes, just a great private eye novel writer, and I love those. I love the private eye novel. That's why I'm in the Private Eye Writers of America. Because I love the private eye novel so much, and I love this book, so do check it out.

The Big Empty by Robert Crais, a guy who should be as famous as Stephen King, but for some reason, I don't know, not everybody knows him. Well, you should. He's a wonderful writer. That's all I'm saying. Wonderful. Great stuff. Oh, next time, more Joe Pike! I love Joe Pike. Read this book. You will love Joe Pike. He's wonderful.

Just doing a little Joe Pike imitation, to the extent I can. That's a belly laugh from Joe. All right, take care. Be seeing you. See you.

You can get the ebook from these retailers.

You can also get it in print from my online bookstore and support indie bookstores.

PS: Hey, the AP will soon no longer publish book reviews. Who are the gatekeepers now? Think Kirkus gives a damn? Would you believe it took me two hours to do this?Looks like it’s up to us chickens to spread the word about books, huh?
