Hi, today I'm reviewing Bald-Faced Liar by Victoria Helen Stone. This book, at first, I was having a hard time getting into it because I was having a hard time really liking the protagonist very much. But then as I came to understand her, I understood why she's the way she is.
So once you start to get into this and start to see what's happening, where she comes from, her background, what she's been through, you can kind of understand where she's coming from. Although, boy does she get paranoid. I mean, it's like after a while I was like, oh, you're imagining so much here. But at the same time, it's like, in a way, you can't blame her because she's been through hell. So it's a highly suspenseful read and I, yeah, I won't say anything more. I don't want to give anything away. Let's just say that it was not wholly unexpected in a sense, I thought. The person who is kind of like the bad guy, bad person behind all this.
So yeah, this happens a lot with internet-related stuff. I'm always like, but what if? But nevermind that. It's still a book that I found gripping enough to keep me going to the very end. And that's all. I'll say that it was a really good read and a fast read, even though it's taken me a couple of months to get to it because I have so many other books that I'm reading. Sorry about that.
Anyhow, it came out in June and I enjoyed it very much, so Bald-Faced Liar. Yeah, there's a title you won't forget soon, as well as the cover, which is really nice. Nice cover there. Alright then. Take care and I'll talk to you later. Be seeing you.
You can get the ebook from this retailer.
You can also get it in print from my online bookstore and support indie bookstores.
