Here's the transcript:
Hi. Today I'm reviewing Buried Road by Katie Tallo. I've been a fan of Katie Tallo since I read Poison Lilies. I loved that book. And this book is also excellent. It's great. It's about a woman who reads in the paper that the man she loves is missing and this sets her on a journey to find him. Then she believes him to be dead at some point, and she and her daughter basically take a kind of road trip to find this guy. It's sort of a road trip story as well as a mystery and just very suspenseful. And the people they run into are all interesting and not helping in various ways. And there's one person in particular, I won't say any names, but turns out there are some creepy things going on. And so having said that, I will just leave you to read the book, which is highly suspenseful, full of just great moments with Gus.
Gus is the woman who is looking for the man, the missing man, Howard, and the narrator of the story is the daughter whose name for some reason escapes me. I don't know why, but be that as it may, it's really a great read. So looking at it from the perspective of the daughter is quite interesting. I can't remember how old she is, but she's in her teens, I believe, I think. Anyway, it really kept me riveted and engaged, and unfortunately I can't show you the cover because I read it on my Kindle app on this thing [an iPad]. So be that as it may, I highly recommend this book. It's a lot of fun. It's gripping, it's engaging. It's an excellent read, so I highly recommend this if you enjoy suspenseful thrillers with female protagonists. That's it then. In this case too, in a sense, you've got the daughter and the mother, or the mother and the daughter, depending on how you look at it. Anyway, it's an enjoyable read. That's it, and I will talk to you later. Be seeing you.
