The sound of Weis charging out of his back door gave me just the surge of energy I needed to get away. I pounded down the alley away from the vehicle, with him hot on my trail and shouting at the top of his lungs.
When does a Marine run from a fight? When she’s on probation and in anger management therapy. But don’t get me wrong. Frankly, I ran because I was afraid I would break Weis’ neck if we got into a fight.
