CHAPTER FORTY-FOUR
I dismissed the idea that this could be all about me. That seemed ludicrous on its face. But it did suggest the murderer might have been close enough to the Harcourts to know they had hired me. Maybe the person who saw me entering the house that morning was the killer.
I tried to shift away from that kind of circular thinking and instead focus on the content of my notes. Could the killer and/or witness have been among those who attended the little get-togethers with the Harcourts? Perhaps Frank Minetti would know more.
